In addition to publishing more games, the GOG Preservation Program has expanded again with another five classic games added. Hopefully GOG will actually deliver on the confirmed GOG Galaxy for Linux, until then you can use the Heroic Launcher.
The newly added games are:
Mortal Kombat 4
2.1 GOG v2 changelog (29 October 2026):
- Improved compatibility with Windows 10 and 11.
- Updated 3dfx Glide emulation to the latest version, bringing bugfixes plus custom resolutions, custom refresh rates, integer rendering, integer scaling and anti-aliasing.
- Updated CD Audio music emulation, so that soundtrack keeps pounding the way it should.
- Added full support for modern controllers (including Sony DualSense / DualShock 4, Microsoft Xbox Series / Xbox One / Xbox 360, Nintendo Switch 2 Pro / Switch Pro, Logitech F, Amazon Luna), with sensible button layouts, hotplugging and wireless mode.
- Optimized the default keyboard and gamepad bindings, so you can start throwing combos right away.
- Fixed Shinnok’s rendering when frozen by Sub-Zero.
- Validated stability.
Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers
1.1 GOG v2 changelog (29 October 2026):
- Added the DOS version running on DOSBox with a tuned configuration, booting in VGA mode just as it did back in 1993.
- Added the Windows version running on ScummVM with its own tuned configuration, booting in SVGA mode.
- Added a launcher, so picking between the two takes one click.
- Added the GOG Game Configurator, your one stop shop for tweaking DOSBox and ScummVM settings without touching a config file.
- Turned subtitles on by default in both versions. No more missing a line of that excellent voice cast.
- Updated the in game hints to point you toward the included goodies, since the original Sierra hint line and printed manual pages are long gone.
- Added Cloud Saves support to both versions.
- Added the Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers graphic novel as a downloadable goodie.
- Added the Gabriel Knight making of documentary as a downloadable goodie.
- Added the original Gabriel Knight trailer as a downloadable goodie.
- Validated stability.
BloodNet
Changelog (29 October 2026):
- Updated both the Floppy and CD versions to DOSBox Staging 0.83 for smoother, more accurate emulation.
- Added the GOG Game Configurator, so every emulation setting is a few clicks away.
- Added an input wrapper. Your gamepad works now, hotplugging included.
- Added controller rebinding straight from the GOG Game Configurator. Put the buttons wherever you like them.
- Added a new graphical preset called Blood Rage, waiting for you in the GOG Game Configurator.
- Added Cloud Saves support to the Floppy version.
- Validated stability.
Personal Nightmare
1.01 GOG v1 changelog (29 October 2026):
- Added the GOG Game Configurator, so tweaking your settings no longer means editing config files by hand.
- Validated stability.
Weird Dreams
