Rumor: New Smash Bros. game on the way, Nintendogs returning, more

A number of Nintendo rumors have come to light from malo932, who is building up some credibility when it comes to leaks.

Most recently, malo932 indicated that we’d be getting presentations next week for The Legend of Zelda and Nintendo in general days before they were announced. That ultimately turned out to be true, as two Directs were confirmed yesterday.

malo932 most recently claimed that a brand-new Super Smash Bros. game is in development, which we can very safely assume would be for Nintendo Switch 2. On one hand, this is a safe and easy prediction. On the other hand, that’s still not been announced and this would indicate that it’s not a port or something along those lines.

Something that might be more interesting and less safe is that, apparently, Nintendogs is returning. Regarding that, malo932 teased:

Cozy weird games are strong in Nintendo, and maybe another “forgotten” cozy weird Nintendo series is coming back, barking. Wink wik, woof woof

malo932 previously shared the following as well:

– Star Fox “adventure” game coming 
– Super Metroid remake is close
– New Wario Land title coming (possibly 2027) [not the first time we’re hearing about a potential Wario game]
– New 3D Mario game likely in 2027

We’re sharing these rumors primarily because of malo932’s history. Although NateTheHate received most of the credit for leaks earlier this year regarding Zelda: Ocarina of Time’s remake, malo932 was right on that as well. This person also said that a new Switch Sports game was on the way – which turned out to be Nintendo Switch Sports Resort. And as we mentioned above, malo932 was spot on about the upcoming presentations.

Since we’re already on the topic of rumors, we’ll throw in another one here. DanielRPK says that the first trailer for The Legend of Zelda’s live action movie will be released next week. That’s not much of a surprise though given the series’ upcoming presentation on Tuesday.
