Gible is making a return during Pokémon Go's September Community Day Classic, which makes it the perfect opportunity to pick up a shiny Gible and a Gible with 100% perfect IV stats, as well as the chance to get an Garchomp with the Charged Attack Earth Power! There's also a string of Community Day event bonuses to enjoy as well, so make the most of Gible's Community Day!

How to get shiny Gible

Shiny Gible is going to be spawning en masse during September's Community Day Classic, meaning it's the perfect time to hunt for a new shiny!

Every Community Day sees the shiny odds for its chosen Pokémon increased. You can increase your chances further by using an Incense to boost the number of Gible spawns you encounter. As such, you shouldn't have much trouble tracking down a shiny Gible. Simply keep clicking on Gible until you see a shiny one! Just remember to keep an eye out for the sparkle effect and shiny icon next to its name to avoid missing out.

As you can see above, shiny Gible family is actually pretty disappointing. Shiny Gible is a deeper blue with a yellow belly. Shiny Gabite and shiny Garchomp are both very similar to their originals, with shiny Garchomp being very difficult to tell from the original, especially when playing outdoors in a bright area. It's a shame considering how awesome this Pokémon is.

The only saving grace here is that shiny Mega Garchomp tries to make up for this by swapping its oranges for a very bold, hot pink, which contrasts brilliantly with the purple tones it takes on. Sure, it looks like a Poison-type, but it also looks very glam rock and we're here for it. At least it's finally trying.

How to get Gible with perfect IV CP

September's Community Day is the perfect time to find a Gible with perfect IV stats. (Referred to as a 'Hundo' by the Pokémon Go community.) These are 15/15/15 stats you're looking for to create a maxed out, 100% IV Pokémon, for your 4* Pokédex, raids and Master League.

If you're at least Level 30 (or above), you'll ideally be looking for the following CPs for a perfect 15/15/15 Gible:

• Level 30 (wild CP maximum) - 954 CP
• Level 35 (weather-boosted wild CP maximum) - 1033 CP

The wild CP value aligns with your Trainer Level until you reach Level 30 and, due to the majority of the player base now being above this level, we've kept to these values for the sake of simplicity. These values will, however, be different if you're currently below Level 30.

Gible's Community Day move

September's Community Day Classic brings back a very important Legacy move for Gible's evolution, Garchomp.

If you evolve a Gible into Garchomp during the event or up to four hours afterwards (9pm local time) your resulting Garchomp will learn Earth Power - a powerful Ground-type Charged Attack. Mega Garchomp with Earth Power is the second-strongest Ground-type attacker.

When Garchomp isn't destroying the enemy in a Raid, it's well worth considering in Master League. In PVP, Earth Power has a 10% chance to decrease the opponent's defence by 20%, which is a handy bonus on an already decent move. We're really happy to see it make a comeback.

• Trainer Battles - 90 Power for 50 Energy
• Gym and Raids - 100 Power for 50 Energy

We recommend waiting until the end of the Community Day before obtaining this exclusive move to ensure you can evolve the Pokémon with the best IVs.

Best Garchomp moveset recommendation in Pokémon Go

Garchomp's best moveset depends on how you want to use it. You have three options here, two of which are seriously worth considering.

Overall, we'd recommend Dragon Tail as a Fast Move, with Twister and Earth Power as Charged Moves. This is its optimum moveset for Master League, where it performs pretty well - it's the top Ground-type Pokémon in this league at any rate.

But if PVP isn't your jam, you're looking at either using Mega Garchomp as a Dragon or Ground-type attacker, where you'll only need two moves.

Mega Garchomp is a top-five Dragon-type attacker running Dragon Tail and Breaking Swipe. Slightly worse in terms of damage output, but a top-two Ground-type attacker, Mega Garchomp's other best moveset is Mud Shot and Earth Power.

Other Gible Community Day bonuses

Community Day Classic events have fewer event bonuses than the current standard Community Day event. Here's a rundown of every bonus live during September's Community Day Classic:
