To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Persona, SEGA announced that Persona5: The Phantom X is collaborating with Persona 3 Portable on September 24 with the debut of playable protagonist Kotone Shiomi. The collaboration introduces a brand-new 3D model of Kotone for Persona5: The Phantom X, along with new arrangements of songs from Persona 3 Portable. A new event animation was also released.
Before then, Gekkoukan High School’s Makoto Yuki, Yukari Takeba, and Akihiko Sanada from Persona 3 Reload will return in the Most Wanted Phantom Idol Contracts Comeback, which starts September 14. The event stories for those three characters will also be available again.
The celebration continues with a Persona 30th anniversary collaboration with Round1 USA, which begins on October 1. All Round1 USA locations will feature exclusive Persona 30th Anniversary items through November 5 at 10:00 a.m., including limited-edition Persona Club Cards, acrylic keychains, special collaboration drinks with mystery character coasters, playmats, and more.
What’s more, the October 1 and October 8, 2026 combined issue of Weekly Famitsu magazine will also celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Persona series. Releasing on September 17, the new issue of Weekly Famitsu will feature a 42-page feature for the Persona 30th anniversary with series retrospectives, fan survey results, celebratory comments from notable figures, creator roundtable discussions, and more. The issue’s cover illustration was illustrated by Persona character designer Shigenori Soejima.
