Beloved Filipino Canadian voice actor of characters including Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck has suddenly passed away.
Shortly following his death on Sunday, October 25 in Los Angeles, Eric’s family members announced his passing on Instagram. Bauza also had one final reel on his official Instagram before his passing of him voicing Loony Tunes characters at a NYC subway promoting the 30-year anniversary of the original Space Jam movie.

Emmy Award-winning voice actor and the modern voice of iconic Looney Tunes characters Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck, along with dozens of other beloved cartoon characters, has passed away suddenly.

Born in Scarborough, Toronto in 1979, Eric Bauza’s cause of death according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner (via CBC News) has been revealed as hypertensive cardiovascular disease.
Some of his popular voice credits, in addition to Loony Tunes characters like Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, and Marvin the Martian, includes voice roles in Puss in Boots, Ben 10: Omniverse, Bob’s Burgers, and the 2017 DuckTales revival (according to IMDb).
In 2026 alone, Bauza has voice credits in projects such as Coyote vs. Acme, DreamWork’s Forgotten Island, Lego Star Wars: The Mandalorian, The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, and Minions & Monsters. In addition to Coyote vs. Acme, one of Eric Bauza’s final voice performances will be in the upcoming theatrical short film Daffy Season, releasing next week on Friday, November 6 alongside The Cat in the Hat.
Additionally, Eric Bauza had a few appearances on the YouTube podcast Toon’d In! with Jim Cummings, where one of his appearances involved him helping out promoting Coyte vs. Acme.
Eric Bauza’s death has joined the recent passings of fellow voice actors Peter Cullen, Tim Curry, Tom Kane, and Hayden Panettiere, just to name a few.
